Myriad Melodies' Chakra Color Chimes set is super easy to play and has a lovely sound. The notes are designed to play a little tune by strumming to the left or right with the mallet. OM is a symbol for the word that represents all of creation. It is the sound of wholeness between all of the stages of creation. The sound of OM is comprised of three sounds that represent the three stages of creation, AHHH UUUU MMMM. AH is the breathing of the universe into existence, it is also a heart warming sound that we naturally make when we feel the energy of the Heart Chakra. UU represents the preservation of creation. MM represents the dissolution of the universe back into pure Spirit. Meditation on the symbol OM or reciting out loud or internally helps to establish wholeness between the body, mind, and universe. It simultaneously promotes calmness within mind as the infinite self and energizes the body with the joy of being alive in the universe.

Sometimes the chimes will move off center but can be readjusted by holding the chime at each end and rotating it back into place. Please, note that the smaller chimes are a higher frequency with increased strength and amplitude and will make a slightly louder sound. While you can play this instrument with the mallet, chimes are best suited for producing a pure tone before you begin a practice, in conjunction with daily affirmations, or at the beginning of your day as a cue or command to the levels of the mind and body to help you work on a specific goal.
