Myriad Melodies’ Tongue Drum Lessons are an amazing way to learn how to play your ethereal drum. While this is a professional instruction on how to play the tongue drum, our intention is to help to create an experience where you are learning an activity and enjoying the vibrations of the drum. There is a progression from one lesson to the next, so after learning all of the content you will be able to to confidently play a little tune for your own enjoyment or during a group activity, like a sound bath or drum circle.

This lesson uses a speed learning format. Each lesson is divided into 2 parts, played slowly and at normal speed. Watch the slow speed version to memorize the notes, then watch the normal speed version to learn the correct pacing and cadence.
While it is a goal to learn how to play a tune on the tongue drum, another goal is to immerse yourself in the learning activity and enjoy the experience of practicing your drum. While this is instructional content, it is also meant to be an experience of sound and vibration.
After completing and practicing all of the lessons, you'll have a better understanding of how to play the songs that are in the instruction booklet, then we recommend playing intuitively and writing down your own songs and practicing them with this content.
The main benefit of this instruction is having the visual and auditory reference for how to play the drum, then you can build on your experience by learning new songs from the booklet that is included with each drum or composing your own songs. If you have never played a tongue drum or are buying this content for a beginner, this is a great place to start.
